Alicia studied flute at Hartt School of Music in Connecticut. Her principal teachers were Keith Underwood, Mary Ellen Jacobs, and Harold Bennett. She has played with many orchestras in New England and the Carolinas, including Hartford, Wallingford, Charleston, and Greensboro Symphonies and currently plays with Winston-Salem Symphony. She freelances with numerous chamber groups, but her favorite combination is flute and guitar.
Greg began playing classical guitar in high school in the late sixties under the tutorship of Pat Sullivan. Greg attended UNC-G from 1969-1972 as a music major and while a student there, he studied classical guitar with Javier Calderon. Greg attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston in the mid-seventies where he studied both jazz and classical music.
Greg and Alicia have been playing together for a few years and both are part-time faculty members at Greensboro College.
